This page describes Grupo Jaremar, the Honduran group that grows, processes and packs everything Jarexport imports. Every figure is published by the group and links to its source; Jarexport does not add estimates of its own.

Responsible palm

From its own seed to certified supply chains

Grupo Jaremar is vertically integrated: it breeds its own palm seed, grows its own fruit and runs the two mills that extract the crude oil. These are the commitments it publishes.

  • RSPO member since 2011. Part of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, with RSPO/ISCC Mass Balance supply-chain procedures.

  • 100% traceability of its own fruit. Legality and traceability are also promoted for fruit bought from independent growers.

  • Zero deforestation, zero burning, zero peat. Ecological practices applied when replanting its plantations.

  • High conservation value areas protected. Identified and protected within the plantations under ISCC and RSPO standards.

  • No WHO class 1A/1B pesticides. Applicators work with protective equipment; women of reproductive age and minors are excluded from applications.

  • No child or forced labor. Across its operations and extended to suppliers, with emphasis on those who deliver fruit.

  • Independent growers for over 20 years. Advice on land rights, deforestation, use of fire, agrochemicals, waste and working conditions.

Energy and carbon

Mills that run on their own biomass and biogas

Energéticos Jaremar captures biogas from the mills' treated wastewater and the mills burn their own biomass for steam and electricity.
